No special interface is required for the IC-706 or for any radio. However, the attached information would allow the use of the special tune button on the front panel of the IC-706 radio.

Note: The "Tune" button/function is not compatible with SG-231 & SG-235 Smartuners as the HOLD function on these Smartuners is activated by Ground, not 12VDC.
