What is the difference between the ADSP and the ADSP²?
The original ADSP board provided 13dB of noise reduction. ADSP² includes the original ADSP and adds another setting for 26dB of noise reduction. It also provides 3 band pass filters for voice, CW and narrow CW operation.
What is the cost to upgrade my SG-2020 to ADSP²?
The price for ADSP² is $180.00, including factory installation, excluding shipping.
Can I upgrade my SG-2020 to ADS² myself?
The SG-2020 can only be upgraded requires some rework and software replacement that can only be done at the factory.
Where can I find information about inserting an ADSP² board into a non-SGC transceiver or receiver?

What is the difference between the high and low power boards?
The high power version of the ADSP² board has a 5 watt amplifier on the board. This is for situations where it is necessary to bypass the transceiver or receivers audio amplifier circuitry.
Does the ADSP² module interface with my transceiver?
The ADSP² will interface with any transceiver or receiver that meets the minimum specifications on our website.
How do I send my unit to SGC for upgrade? Contact SGC to be given an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number.
What advantages are there to the ADSP² over my Powertalk ADSP?
Powertalk ADSP has more flexible filters, but less noise suppression. The SG-2000 Powertalk radios can be upgraded to ADSP², which will also include an added alarm generator feature. This upgrade costs $250.00 which includes factory installation and excludes shipping.
What if I install the ADSP² and it doesn’t work?
The warranty on the ADSP² board is 30 days for the PCB only. SGC does not warrant your installation or your transceiver. Installing the ADSP² may also void the warranty of your transceiver and SGC does not accept responsibility for any costs associated with this.
If I decide to have ADSP² installed in my SG-2020, what happens to my current ADSP card? Do I get it back?
The original ADSP card is replaced and the SG-2020 software is upgraded during the installation. The new card includes a setting for the original mode. If requested, the old board will be returned without warranty for other use as the owner sees fit.
What is the advantage of the three switchable filters in an SG-2020 over the variable filter already in the radio? Is the variable filter lost in the ADSP² mode?
The ADSP² filters are digital, not analog filters like the continuously variable filter. You will still have the continuous filter, but you will now be able to switch select several useful alternatives.
