I don't normally write or email companies about their products but I just wanted you to know how happy I am with my new SG-239. I live in a typical Southern Calif. ant hill. Its a newer development and there are lots of covenants and restrictions. I thought I would never be able to get on the air again. Two weeks ago, I was in the Ham Radio Outlet in San Diego and lamenting my situation with Tom, the Manager. A fellow ham overheard and suggested that I try a 239 into a long wire in the attic. Ar first, I was highly skeptical but decided to give it a try.
Tom got me a tuner, I crawled up into my attic and laid out a 75 foot long wire in two 37.5 in sections that basically look like two big "J's" with the center running through the highest beams. I hooked up the tuner to the center, wrapped it in electrical tape and I am amazed at the results. My SWR is 1.5 to 1 or less on all bands 10-80m. In the past few days, I've worked 10 states, including DE, TX, IL and Japan on 100w. CW, voice, its all good.
I can not tell you how happy I am with the tuner. Thanks for a great product!"
