The SG-2020 is used by many PTC2 operators with great success. For proper setting, please proceed as follows:

1. Set power output setting at maximum on the dialer (20W). This is the next step after 25. You must turn the knob several times before you reach the 'M' mark setting.

2. Inject your PTC2 signal in the microphone input port on the front panel microphone connector.

3. Adjust the input level to read at the output of your radio 5 to 19W. Use a bird Watt meter and a 50 ohm dummy load for this purpose.

You are now all set to operate. Please note that you should not exceed 15W in this configuration. Your optimum operating point will be at 5 to 10W. You will also see no difference in the capture capability when you increase from 5 to 10W, therefore the lower operating point will be better.
