1. Connect a thru-line wattmeter between the SG-2000 and a 50 Ohm dummy load.
2. Remove both the top and bottom covers from the SG-2000 chassis and turn the chassis on to one side.
3. Set the frequency to 8400.00 MHz, CW mode, high power.
4. Locate R121 on the front left corner of the main exciter PCB, then locate R41 and R42 on LPA PCB (side by side in front of the relays).
5. Select CW mode. Key the microphone and adjust R41 on the LPA for maximum power output, then un-key the microphone.
6. Change to low power, key the microphone and adjust R42 on the LPA for maximum power output, then un-key the microphone.
7. Change back to high power, key the microphone and andjust R121 on the exciter for 175 Watts output.
8. Re-adjust R41 on the LPA for power output desired (e.g. 100W), then un-key the microphone.
9. Change to low power, key the microphone and re-adjust R42 on LPA for the desired low power setting, then un-key the microphone.
10. Go back to the high power setting, key the microphone and verify that the high power setting is where it should be (R41/R42 do interact and you may have to re-adjust the settings slightly). Then un-key the microphone.
11. Re-install the covers.
