Larry Steeno, K9LWI of Green Bay Wisconsin sent us these pictures of his beautiful flagpole antenna installation, using the SG-239Smartuner™.
"I saw the advertisement with a flagpole for a radiator and so I took it from there. As soon as I saw a local store have a sale on 20' flagpoles. I removed the coating from the ends of each of the sections, then pop riveted them together. I took a 4"X6"X6' piece of treated lumber and cemented 4' into the ground. I attached the piece of plastic pipe to the 4X6 with conduit clamps.

I put a SG-239 Smartuner into a plastic food container and sealed it up, placed it into a wooden box to hold some flowers and connected the output to the flagpole as shown. I pounded a 8' ground rod approx 4" from the 4X6 almost all the way into the ground and placed 8- 25' radials around the antenna.
Then I used landscape timbers to construct a flower garden and as you can see it doesn't look too shabby and even my wife says she likes it. The SWR is less than 2.1 on all bands from 40 thru 10. I haven't used it too much yet as it is summer and summer is just too short up here in Wisconsin. Thank you SGC for your wonderful product!!!!!"
Larry provided some close up views of his connections to the flagpole. We think you'll agree that he did a terrific job on his installation.
